The Graphics package is for anyone interested in trying to create new graphics for Moonbase  The Graphics Package is NOT needed to run Moonbase.


Installing the Package
Uncompress the ZIP archive on your C: disk using FILZIP, or any archiver program that understands the ZIP archive format. Be sure to unzip with the "Use Directories" option so that the files will land in the correct locations.

Moonbase expects to be installed in C:\GAMES\MOONBASE however you can install it in any location. When Moonbase is first run it will ask you for the complete path where you installed it.



Messages about MISSING DLL or OCX files
All of the DLL and OCX files needed to run Moonbase have been included with the ZIP package. If you get a message from Windows complaining about a missing DLL or OCX file you can fix the problem by adding the location of the file to your Windows Registry.

On your Windows Start Menu, select RUN then Type:
regsvr32 <path & filename of dll or ocx>

For example, if windows says that TABCTL32.OCX is missing, then the command
regsvr32 c:\games\moonbase\tabctl32.ocx
will tell Windows that tabctl32.ocx is in c:\games\moonbase



Internet Access
If you are running a Firewall program on your computer, it may inform you that the Moonbase program is attempting to access the internet. Moonbase does need to connect to servers at rexx.com and should be allowed to do so.

UPGRADE Check: Moonbase will check with our servers to see if a new version of the program is available. When a new version is available, Moonbase will ask if you wish to download the upgrade. If you select to upgrade, the Moonbase patcher will download and install the new version. (Your firewall will probably tell you that the program "MOONPAT" wants to access the internet; that is the patcher program for Moonbase.)

Validation: Registration Keys must be validated with our servers before Moonbase will allow you to use the Registered version Features.
